This image captures a moment in time at Hellingly railway station in East Sussex, England.
The station was part of the Polegate to Eridge line, commonly known as the Cuckoo Line.
It was a rural station that served the nearby village of Hellingly and the Hellingly Hospital, which had its own electric tramway that connected to the station.
The station featured an unusual goods shed, visible in the background, which lacked walls.
Passenger services at the station ceased in 1965, and the line was subsequently closed and dismantled.
