This image captures the former Hailsham railway station in East Sussex, circa 1968, shortly before its closure. 


The station was located on the Cuckoo Line. 


It was closed in September 1968 as part of the Beeching railway cuts. 


The station had become a terminus by the time this photo was taken. 


The image shows the north signal box and a DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) train.
