This image captures Hailsham Station in 1968, a few years after passenger services ceased.

The station was located on the Cuckoo Line between Polegate and Hellingly in East Sussex.

Passenger services were withdrawn on June 14, 1965, as part of the Beeching Axe cutbacks.

The station remained open for freight traffic until 1968, which is when this photo was taken.

All evidence of the station was later cleared away during the construction of Lindfield Drive.
