This image captures a moment in time at Hailsham Railway Station in Sussex, UK, which was part of the former Cuckoo Line. 

The station was originally built in 1849 by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. 

The locomotive featured is BR Standard Class 4MT 2-6-4T no. 80150. 

The line north of Hailsham closed to passenger traffic on June 13, 1965. 

The station became a terminus after that date until the remaining line to Polegate also closed.
