Hellingly railway station

The image captures Hellingly railway station, located on the now-closed Polegate to Eridge line in East Sussex. 

The station served the village of Hellingly and was part of the "Cuckoo Line". 

Goods traffic at the station ceased in September 1964. 

The station closed to passengers in June 1965. 

The Cuckoo Trail, a public footpath and cycleway, now passes along the trackbed past the platform, which is currently a private residence.
