This is a historic moment captured at Hellingly railway station, located in East Sussex, England. 

The station was part of the Polegate to Eridge line, commonly known as the "Cuckoo Line". 
It was unique on this line for having only one platform. 

Passenger services at the station were discontinued in 1953, and the line was fully closed to freight in 1969. 

The station building has since been converted into a private residence, and the former trackbed now forms part of the Cuckoo Trail public footpath.
